Mark Lomond survived Hurricane Fiona in Newfoundland in 2022. his fishing stage was swept away in the storm, but he was able to recover a battered life preserver in the aftermath.

Lorna Fandrich, survived the 2021 Lytton wildfire. Two teacups were saved from Lorna's museum (the Chinese History Museum) — one was melted and disfigured while the other relatively intact.

Meghan Fandrich, survived the 2021 Lytton wildfire that burned the entire village to the ground. Meghan holds a doorknob salvaged from the ruins of her business, Klowa Cafe.
